Our history
ABHC is a multi-sector collaborative working to build a healthy, connected, resilient community.
Through partnerships, projects, and community education ABHC works with Community Partners to make the vision of a healthy, connected, resilient community become a reality.
In 2015 community leaders recognized childhood trauma as a public health crisis and wanted to find a collaborative approach to address the issue. Leadership across sectors joined forces and ABHC became a reality in 2016. In 2020, ABHC became a division of Lighthouse Behavioral Wellness Centers, the Certified Community Behavioral Health Center of southern Oklahoma. Today, ABHC is still continuing to grow their network and build a strong presence in the community.
Our Mission
Through fostering authentic relationships, establishing effective processes, and expanding educational opportunities, we facilitate community wellness and behavioral health transformation.
