Veteran Support Group meets the 3rd Tuesday at 6pm monthly at the Ardmore Chamber of Commerce Meeting Room in Ardmore.

Provides intensive outpatient therapy designed to support the unique emotional and mental health needs of adults typically age 65 and older. Services are available for individuals’ experiencing challenges such as chronic health conditions, decreased energy, difficulty sleeping or eating, feelings of worry, grief and loss, and other life transitions.
The program’s multidisciplinary team includes a board-certified psychiatrist, licensed therapist, and registered nurse, as well as other trained professionals who work together to provide compassionate, quality care.
Referrals can be made by any healthcare professional, family members, community members or individual seeking services for themselves.

Provides free food for senior citizens at 11:30am at the Ardmore/Wilson- Nutrition Centers, Monday-Friday. Must be over 60. Check their Facebook page for updates.

Provides long-term nursing care and inpatient services for veterans. Offers comprehensive support to veterans and surviving spouses, including assistance with service-connected disability claims, non-service-connected pensions, access to VA healthcare, and surviving spouse benefits.

Provides quality, affordable housing for seniors. Living in a cottage, apartment, or townhome, seniors enjoy independent living onsite including The Lodge. The Lodge is for those who are in need of daily support due to various limitations, such as serious health problems and altered vision or mobility. Signs that assisted living is best for a senior include difficulty keeping up with housekeeping and laundry. At The Lodge, three meals are served daily and 24-hour assistance for personal care is provided. Practical needs are met with meals and local transportation services for medical care.

Provides information and resources for the aging population including information and programs advocating for Long-Term Care residents in nursing homes, assisted living, and residential care homes. Visit their website for more information about their services.

Community Health Workers can help individuals meet health goals and assist with applications and referrals for services such as health insurance, housing, state and federal benefits and more.

Provides food boxes for senior citizens age 60 and older. Must provide proof of social security letter and verification of household income. Available on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month from 8:30am-11:30am.

Non-emergency medical transportation that provides transportation services for a variety of healthcare facilities, agencies, and private pay individuals. Transports ambulatory and wheelchair clients to medical appointments, including doctors' appointments, dialysis, physical therapy, rehabilitation centers, chemo, and their private residences in a safe, secure, and professional manner.

Provides a meal for senior citizens ages 55 and older. Donations are accepted. Open Tuesday-Friday. Center hours for activities are from 9:00am-2:00pm. Lunch is served from 12:00pm-1:00pm. Check their Facebook page for updates and holiday meals.

Public Transportation services available in Bryan, Carter, Coal, and Love counties for any transit needs via an on-demand service during normal business hours. Free transportration for sentior citizens 60 years of age and older for medical appointments in Bryan, Carter, Coal, Love, and Pontotoc counties (upon qualification). SORTS vehicles meet ADA requirements with wheelchair accessible vans and buses available in all areas of service.

Provides services to people with developmental disabilities. Services include day programs like employment training and adult day care. Sunshine Adult Day also serves the aging population. Sunshine also has a small residential care program for adults with developmental disabilities. Referrals for servies can be made through Sunshine Industries or the OK Department of Human Services.
