A substance abuse program within Mercy Hospital Ardmore. Utilizes a medically based approach to managing withdrawal. Provides long-term recovery management and follow-up to check general health, sobriety and levels of engagement in treatment programs.

Community Health Workers can help individuals meet health goals and assist with applications and referrals for services such as health insurance, housing, state and federal benefits and more.

Wichita Mountains Prevention Network houses the Carter County Prevention Coalition (CCPC). Provides free lock boxes and medication disposal kits to Carter County Residents. CCPC collaborates with law enforcement to host Prescription Drug Take Back events for proper disposal of medications and Alcohol Compliance Checks (ACCs) to prevent underage alcohol sales. Educational materials are provided on the dangers of misusing substances like alcohol, marijuana, and stimulants to local residents. Call for more information on educational materials, lock boxes, or to get involved in the coalition.

Educating teens and young adults about the dangers of substance abuse by creating a generation of students eager to participate in their communities, live healthy lives and be positive role models. Provides free resources to use when talking to teens about prescription drug abuse, finding local prescription drug disposal drop box locations and consulting a prevention specialist. 

This program is a culturally guided, trauma-informed residential substance abuse program that serves First Americans. Adult males and their families are provided a healthy community and integrated treatment services which promote spiritual, emotional, physical and social wellness. 

Eligibility:
Have a sincere desire to become free of addiction
Have a CDIB or tribal citizenship from a federally recognized First American tribe
Be 18 years of age or older

This program is a culturally guided, trauma informed residential treatment program for First American women. Nittak Himitta’ specializes in serving women, including women with children ages 12 and younger. 

Eligibility:
Have a sincere desire to become free of addiction Have a CDIB or tribal citizenship from a federally-recognized First American tribe
Be 18 years of age or older
Completion of medical assessment including the purified protein derivative (PPD) test or chest X-ray (as needed) Nittak Himitta’ specializes in serving women, including women with children ages 12 and younger. 

For those seeking help to overcome substance use issues, Chickasaw Nation Recovery Resource Services offers a number of ways to succeed. Recovery support services include assessment services, recovery outpatient services and recovery intensive outpatient services to Chickasaw citizens, First Americans and Chickasaw Nation employees.

Eligibility:
•Chickasaw or First American with a Chickasaw spouse or dependent
•Referral from a Chickasaw Nation program

Women's Sober Living Facility that offers classes for parenting, relapse prevention, boundaries, cooking, budgeting, self-esteem, communication skills, counseling, job ready skills and anger management.

Provides housing for women who struggle with substance abuse along with counseling services and helping establish stable employment.

Provides individualized behavioral health services that include individual, group and family therapy, case management, peer support, wellness, care coordination, and medication evaluation and management. Specialty services include Medications for Opioid Use Disorder, mental health and drug court, Infant Mental Health and substance use assessments. EMDR trained counselors are available. Naloxone is available free of charge. Accepts most insurances including Medicaid, Medicare, and SoonerCare. Services are available regardless of ability to pay. Clinics also located in Ada, Madill, Durant, Pauls Valley, Seminole, Sulphur and Tishomingo.

The Crisis Stabilization Unit and Urgent Recovery Center provide behavioral health and substance use services to adults (18+) in crisis 24/7/365. Individuals experiencing any sort of crisis can present voluntarily or be transported by law enforcement personnel.
